County Spelling Bee

The Spelling Bee is an event that challenges children K-8 to utilize their spelling and phonetic skills in a competitive environment. Two spellers represent Pima County at the State Bee, and the top 27 spellers in the state compete in the State Spelling Bee to determine who will represent Arizona in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. The winner and an escort receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. to compete with spellers from all over the nation.

Regional Support Center

Professional development center that focuses on research-based instructional strategies including technology integration into the curriculum, systems thinking, new teacher support, and counseling.

Career and Technical Education Symposium

A complete professional development event for Career and Technical Educators in Pima and Santa Cruz Counties. Workshops are provided along with a keynote speaker, exhibitors and alumni recognition.

Career Shadow Day for Middle School Students

A Career development program with classroom lessons and activities leading up to a half day visit to a work site that represents their chosen career/profession.

Career Carnival for Elementary School Students

A complete career development program with classroom lessons and career inventory exercises culminating in business and profession exhibits at their school for viewing and conversations with adult professionals.

Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education, offered through the Pima County Regional Support Center, focuses on professional development and consultation with early childhood programs to raise quality of services and programs offered to families and children.

FAIR for Educators

Free resource fair for all educators in Pima County. Professional development credit available. Receive free classroom resources from over 100 exhibitors.
