Amphitheater Public Schools Board Vacancy

The Governing Board of Amphitheater Public Schools currently has a vacancy subject to appointment by the Pima County School Superintendent.

The Governing Board of the Amphitheater School District currently has a vacancy, which is subject to appointment by Pima County School Superintendent Dustin Williams. Individuals who are interested in being considered for the vacancy are required to submit a Candidate Questionnaire with an Affidavit of Qualification.  The interested individuals will be interviewed by a Community Advisory Committee that will provide a recommendation(s) to Superintendent Williams, who will ultimately make the appointment. 

The term in office will begin on the date of appointment and continue through December 31, 2018.  The individual appointed will need to stand for election in November 2018, for a regular, four-year term.  Pursuant to State law, an individual who wishes to be considered for appointment must meet the following legal requirements at the time of the appointment:

1.  Be at least 18 years of age

2.  Be a citizen of the United States

3.  Be a resident and registered voters of the State of Arizona

4.  Be a resident of the Amphitheater School District for at least one (1) year prior to the date of appointment

5.  Employees of the District and their spouses are ineligible for appointment

6.  Immediate famiily members of currents Board members who have shared the same household in the last four (4) years are ineligible for appointment.
