Pima Community College District 2 Vacancy Process

Pima County School Superintendent, Dr. Linda Arzoumanian, has set the process for filling the District 2 vacancy on the Pima Community College Board of Governors.

Information for Candidates for Appointment

Individuals who wish to be considered for appointment to fill the vacancy will be required to complete an "Appointment Questionnaire."  A completed questionnaire must be submitted no later than Tuesday, November 24th at 5:00PM to be considered as a candidate for the vacancy.  

To download a copy of the Appointment Questionnaire -- DOWNLOAD HERE.  Hard copies of the questionnaire can be requested by contacting the Pima County School Superintendent's Office at (520) 724-8451 or can be picked up at the Office located at 200 N. Stone Avenue.

Information on Community Advisory Committee

Community Advisory Committee will be impaneled to interview the eligible candidates and to provide their recommendation(s) to Dr. Arzoumanian.  She will make the final decision on appointment.  Interested individuals who wish to serve on the Community Advisory Committee will need to submit a brief online application.  Individuals will also need to submit their application to serve on the Committee by November 24, 2015 by 5:00PM.

The Committee will be comprised of: a PCC faculty member, a PCC non-faculty staff member, a PCC student, a business owner or business leader, a school district superintendent and a community member.  The business owner/leader must have their business or organization located within the boundaries of PCC District 2.  The community member must reside within the boundaries of PCC District 2.  The PCC representatives and the school district superintendent are not required to reside in PCC District 2.  Moreover, the school district superintendent will be selected directly by Dr. Arzoumanian and not the online form.

To view a map of the boundaries of District 2, you can go to the go to the Pima County Board of Supervisors' District Map. Supervisor District 2 boundaries are identical to PCC District 2.   

You can also access the Pima County Recorder's Office website and access the Polling Location Search page, which can confirm whether you are located within the boundaries of PCC District 2 by entering your street address.
