Pima County School Superintendent Announces Community Advisory Committee

Pima County School Superintendent, Dr. Linda Arzoumanian, has named 7 community leaders for the Community Advisory Committee. This committee will review the 4 applicants selected to fill the District 2 vacancy on the Pima Community College Board of Governors left by David Longoria’s resignation on October 19, 2015. State law requires that the Pima County School Superintendent fill any vacancy on the board of Pima Community College (PCC).


The following District 2 will serve on the Community Advisory Committee:

David Cuevas, Community Member
Dr. Alan Storm, Pima County JTED
Julia Fiello, PCC Faculty
Nicholas Meyers, PCC Student
Sandra Leal, Community Member

Ted Roush, PCC Non Faculty Staff Member
TBD, Business Owner


The committee hopes to have a new board member in place by the end of the year. The person appointed to fill the vacancy will serve from their date of appointment through December 31, 2016. In order to retain his/her the appointed person will be required to run for election in November 2016.  The District 2 Board Seat will be on the November 2016 General Election ballot for a regular, six-year term.
