Teacher Certification

The Pima County School Superintendent's Office maintains effective dates and expiration dates of all teacher and administrator certification records for the Pima County school districts in compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 15-302.9

To record teaching certificates, teachers may either appear in person or mail their original certificates to the Pima County School Superintendent's Office. Only the original certificate can be recorded. If you are mailing the certificate, please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope. There is no charge for this service.

Each school district payroll is monitored to ensure that a valid, active teaching or administrative certificate is recorded and on file with the Pima County School Superintendent's Office.

Please send or bring your current original certificate to the Pima County School Superintendent's Office.

 

No provision is made for copies of this certificate to be recorded.  Only the original certificate or Memorandum of Certification can be recorded.
