Tech Prep

Tech Prep is a national educational initiative, mandated and funded by federal legislation. It is a method to prepare students with technical skills and academic competencies needed to be successful in the 21st Century.

Tech Prep is an effort to provide incentives for changing secondary and post secondary schooling with new teaching competencies that include work world experiences - work based learning.

There are hundreds of consortia composed of all secondary schools and community colleges in every state.

Locally, all public secondary schools and the community colleges in Pima and Santa Cruz Counties are members of the Pima and Santa Cruz Tech Prep Consortium.
